Terms and Conditions

    Welcome to Gharista. By availing our services, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Our goal is to ensure a respectful, safe, and professional relationship between our vendors and your household.

    1. Scope of Services

    Our vendors are assigned strictly based on your selected service: Cleaning, Cooking, Babysitting, or any service. Assigning them tasks beyond their designated role without prior written consent is prohibited.

    2. Respect and Conduct

    Gharista maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward any form of harassment, abuse, or disrespect toward our staff. Any such incident may result in immediate suspension of services and possible legal action.

    3. Additional Workload

    If repeated extra workload is assigned outside the agreed scope for more than 3 consecutive days, additional charges may apply after mutual discussion and written confirmation.

    4. Payment Policy

    • Invoices are generated on the 25th of each month.
    • Payments are due by the 1st of the following month.
    • Late Fee: ₹100/day starting from the 4th.
    • Services may be paused from the 5th if payments remain pending.

    5. Direct Employment Restriction

    Any employee (maid, cook, babysitter, or any service) introduced by Gharista may not be hired directly by the customer without renewing or continuing the Gharista subscription. Violation of this condition grants Gharista the right to initiate appropriate legal action. This policy ensures fair employment terms for both parties.

    6. Service Limitations

    Standard services do not include:

    • Lifting /moving heavy items
    • Deep cleaning (e.g., carpets, windows)
    • Outdoor errands or unsupervised transportation

    Please discuss with us in advance for custom needs.

    7. Property Access & Safety

    • Clients must ensure the safety of valuables during service hours.
    • It is advised to install CCTV in common areas for added peace of mind.
    • Gharista is not responsible for loss/damage unless proven intentional or negligent.

    8. Babysitting-Specific Terms

    • Transport: Babysitters are not permitted to take children outside unless a parent is present.
    • Medical Support: Babysitters are not certified for medical care; they may provide only basic comfort based on your instructions.
    • Outings: Babysitters must not take children on family /friend visits without explicit prior consent and parental supervision.
    • Accidents: Gharista is not responsible for minor childhood incidents. Liability applies only in cases of gross negligence or intent.

    9. Vendors Guidelines

    • Workers are trained, but care must be taken with delicate or breakable items.
    • Clients must provide clear instructions for sensitive tasks.
    • Gharista is not liable for minor accidental damages unless due to carelessness or intent.

    10. Trial & Cancellation

    The first 3 days of service is a trial period. Post-trial cancellations will be charged pro-rata for days worked in that billing cycle.

    11. Confidentiality

    All client data and household information will be kept confidential. Our staff are trained to respect your privacy and trust.

    12. Terms Revision

    Gharista reserves the right to revise these terms. Any major updates will be communicated, and continued service use implies agreement to new terms.
